National Criminal Justice Association: A Washington, DC-based organization that represents states on crime-control and public safety matters. Current information on research, legislation and funding programs.
National Sheriffs' Association: This organization is dedicated to raising the level of professionalism in the criminal justice field through research, education, and training. This site contains links and information about Community Policing and Neighborhood Watch.
New York Correction History Society: Interesting and well-documented historical information on corrections in New York State.
New York State Association of Chiefs of Police: Organization of law enforcement department personnel dedicated to maintaining law and order through professional recognition, uniform operations and education. This site describes the accreditation process for NYS law enforcement.
New York State Bar Association: This site describes membership services for NYS lawyers, and also contains consumer information such as living wills, client rights and responsibilities, your rights as a victim and tenants' rights.
